Dunkerque LNG signs a contract with Technip FMC

22/01/18

On the 17th of november 2017, Dunkerque LNG signed a contract with Technip FMC to supply and assemble the terminal's future truck-loading station.

This contract includes the supply of equipment that will be used to load the trucks with liquefied natural gas (LNG). Previously assembled and tested in Technip FMC's facilities, the equipment will be delivered to the LNG terminal in Dunkirk during the second half of 2018 and will be ready to be used right away.

The station, which Technip FMC developed, is innovative in that it allows the truck driver to load the LNG autonomously. This is a ground-breaking feature for the industry.

The truck-loading station is the first investment made by Dunkerque LNG less than a year after the terminal began commercial operations. The station will be used to load trucks with liquefied natural gas (LNG). These trucks will then supply the first LNG-powered ferry owed by Brittany Ferries. The unit is equipped to receive up to 3,000 trucks per year, which represents 60,000 tonnes of LNG, or around 133,000 m3 of LNG.
